Just before the Asia Cup begins on August 30, Afghanistan and Pakistan will be engaged in a three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka starting August 22.

Both teams have met each other in four ODIs so far with Pakistan emerging victorious in each of them. While the two sides played a T20I series earlier this year in the UAE, this will be their first encounter in the 50-over format since their clash in the 2019 World Cup.
